The 2016 Optical Theatre Festival Official Selection - Chateau Sauvignon: Terroir

The horror short film Chateau Sauvignon: Terroir (USA – 2015) has been officially selected for The Optical Theatre Film Festival. The film is written, produced and directed by David E. Munz-Maire (In Session). It won as Best Short Film (jury award) at San Sebastián Horror and Fantasy Film Festival.

Synopsis: Nicolas is an isolated adolescent, son of a storied vintner family. He finds himself torn between obeying his father’s callous restrictions and preventing his ailing mother from deteriorating further. When some customers arrive seeking a tasting and tour of the winery, Nicolas sees an opportunity to help care for his mother, as well as prove his worth to his choleric father. However, his wayward plan quickly takes a turn for the worse.

The film stars Michael Lorz, Sean Weil, Anthony Del Negro, Nancy Nagrant and Pooya Mohseni.
