Obitus: Azerbaijani Parasite Horror Unleashes Its Official Teaser Trailer and Poster

Obitus is an upcoming Azerbaijani survival horror feature directed by Rec Revan and written by Cahangir Suleymanov. The newly released teaser and poster offer a first look at a story that blends body horror with a parasitic outbreak unfolding inside an isolated community.
Produced by Recfilms and presented at the Marché du Film in Cannes in 2026, Obitus has a runtime of 105 minutes and is in Turkish. The film is currently in the final stages of post-production and is scheduled to open in theaters in Azerbaijan on November 19, 2026.

The story begins in the aftermath of a devastating natural disaster that leaves a remote village cut off from the outside world. Damien and his daughter Luna become separated amid the chaos, while the surviving inhabitants struggle with collapsing escape routes and worsening conditions.
Their fight for survival takes an even darker turn when a parasitic infection begins spreading through the community and attacking the human body from within. As the outbreak advances, Damien and Luna must find their way back to each other in an environment where it becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish those who have survived from those already affected.

Alongside its survival and body horror elements, Obitus focuses on isolation, family, loss, and the physical cost of survival.

Rec Revan is an Azerbaijani director, producer, and founder of Recfilms. His previous directing credits include Without Shadow (2012), Devil’s Side (2014), and Aporia (2019). The latter received international distribution and was made available on platforms including Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.
