She promises to get him help, but then she begins to consider how calling the authorities could negatively affect her life. Sadly, based on a true story.

Cube - A group of people awake in a cube-shaped room and must try to find a way out. As they slowly explore their surroundings, they soon realize that structure is rigged with numerous lethal traps. Spawned several sequels.

Tourist Trap – Chuck Connors plays a kindly farmer who helps out a group of kids with car trouble. Of course, it turns out that ‘ol Chuck isn’t as nice as he initially seems, and the kids start dropping one by one. Bizarre film with a really bizarre soundtrack, and Tanya Roberts looks incredibly hot.

The Burning – After being horribly burned in a prank-gone-wrong, a deranged camp caretaker returns to wreak havoc on the latest batch of campers. Watch for very early roles by Fisher Stevens and Jason Alexander.

Ravenous – Cannibalism and the military are blended together in this unique film set in an Army outpost in the Sierra Nevada wilderness. Guy Pearce and Robert Carlyle star.

Feast – This unexpected flick takes every horror movie convention and throws it right out the window. If you’ve ever wanted to see a horror movie where the plucky kid dies real quick, then Feast is the film for you. Henry Rollins, Jason Mewes, Clu Gulagher and Sean Penn’s mom all star.

Exorcist III – George C. Scott plays a detective haunted by the death of his friend, Father Damien Karras (the priest from the first Exorcist film). Years later, a brutal serial killer is murdering people in Georgetown, and the veteran cop suspects it’s the work of a man who was put to death year ago. When he finds that very same man in the psych ward of a hospital, strange things begin to happen. Great acting and genuine scares – what more could you want?

Black Christmas – I’m talking about the original version, not the crappy remake. Before Halloween started the slasher craze, Black Christmas introduced the killer POV shot. Star Olivia Hussey is gorgeous beyond words, and genre legend John Saxon throws in an appearance.

Peeping Tom – Overshadowed by Psycho, this British film was on the cutting edge of horror. A deranged young man kills women and forces them to watch their own dying moments through a cleverly constructed device.

Botched – A thief is hired to travel to Russia and steal an antique cross kept in a Moscow skyscraper. Little does he know that his new partner is psychotic, and the building is inhabited by a deranged killer who loves disco music.
